Malcolm Farrell | Target Drive Up
Malcolm Farrell got the great opportunity to work with Target’s for their new service called Drive Up. Drive Up allows you to order items from the Target app, and associates will bring them out to your car when you arrive at the designated drive up parking spaces at your local Target store.
This was a day shoot production for Farrell and a new experience with understanding how super markets shoot their commercials. The audition process was photo only and straight to being booked. Farrell likes those types of auditions he said “All I did was have my agent submit for me and next thing I know, I’m notified that I have booked it.” The day started at 8:00 AM in Houston, Texas and went to 5:00 PM. He described the shot process of each scene very “tedious.” Each shot had to be the right shot showing each product for what it is and give it that Target look that we’re all so used to whether it was pampers, clothes, or just handing of the bag to the customer. Drone shots were also used for this commercial to get aerial views of the cars driving up. Farrell got the pleasure to work with Brian Aichlmayr again who is very big in the film industry in Texas.
