Thankful for being awarded the role of a Journalist, Malcolm already knew how to play this character because it was something he was use to doing all throughout college. This was the first time working on a set like this in Los Angeles for him and that let alone was an experience. Learning the daily schedules of everything being shot during the time he was there to understanding that it takes a village to make a movie. Nonetheless Farrell embraced being around powerful actors such as Romany Malco and Regina Hall.
